First, meet your guide at Tekka Centre, a bustling market where a wide variety of goods and foods are sold. Visit a spice shop to know the various kinds of spices used in Indian cooking. Try the famous roti (flatbread), teh tarik, and some traditional Indian sweets.
Next, cross the road to see a garland shop, where beautiful flower arrangements are made by hand. Create your flower garland that you can take back with you. Finally, visit Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore where you can take in the spiritual atmosphere and admire the intricate sculptures and paintings.
