TOUR DESCRIPTION

Starting Time: 9.00 am - End Time: 13:00 pm

This early morning
walk unveils through the vibrancy of Phuket Town, unbeknownst to many. Seen as
the foundation of what crafted Phuket to date- from its early tin-mining
history to how it has evolved and maintained its roots - this brings forward
the cultural and historical side of Phuket.

Our walking trails
commence at the Shrine of the Serene Light (Sang Tham Shrien), a sacred place
for many Thai Chinese residents where our guide explains the essence of its
spiritual importance. Next, we shed an explanatory light on the street art that
graces its surroundings. Across the main road weaving through Phuket town lies
the Amulet Market, a happening meeting point for locals, the perfect place to
witness trade and commerce reigning supreme. From peeking at the numerous
stalls, some of the iconic landmarks - such as Kasikorn Bank and the historic
Memory at On On Hotel – further explore the historical richness of the island’s
main town.

Phang Nga Road is
yet another aorta for Phuket Town’s artistic significance. A trendsetter in the
art stream is “Sitao Studio” where clients will become artisans themselves. A
one-hour painting workshop intertwines with an introduction to moulding Bisque-fired
ceramics. A gem in the historical trails, Phuket has encountered at the Museum
Phuket, formerly occupied by the Old Standard Charter Bank. As the sun begins
to rise, the hues and artistic flavours of Soi Rommanee and Thalang Road
complement this morning's tour. Art and food effortlessly blend here as various
captures of picture-perfect street art liven up this unique part of Phuket.

This wander through Phuket
Town ends at the Buddhist Mongkol Nimit Temple, known for its much-revered
Chedi and serene location. Particularly the temple's exterior makes it an
undervalued part for those exploring Phuket Town. An invigorating 4-hour tour ends
with a lunch at a local restaurant.
