Today, get ready for an in-depth look at the daily life of Luang Prabang. Rise early to the sound of the temple gong and witness Luang Prabang’s mystical ritual. In the cool of the early morning, a daily procession of about three hundred young monks walk silently by, collecting sticky rice and other foods in their bronze bowls. The ritual is linked to a Buddhist tradition in which monks beg for their daily food as a way to demonstrate humility.

The early morning is the perfect time to stroll through Luang Prabang’s morning market where you will see the locals haggling for fresh meat, fruit and vegetables before return to the hotel for the breakfast, we continue to visit Wat Pakhe, It is one of only a handful of Thai-style wats in Luang Prabang, characterized by their high walls, long and narrow footprints, and front verandahs with four equal-sized columns. Ironically, it was constructed during the reign of King Chantarath (1851-72) who aimed to discourage Thai designs on his kingdom by welcoming a diplomatic mission from Kunming, then part of Qing-dynasty China. As th e temple was built to honor the emissaries, mural paintings on the interior depict the Lao emissaries paying tribute to Emperor Ton Zhi, though their design and execution is far cruder than other surviving mural paintings in Luang Prabang After breakfast, you will be pick up at the hotel for experiencing about Lao Traditonal Cooking Class at Heuan Chan Heritage House.

Heuan Chan Heritage House was first called Villa Xieng Mouane after the village it was founded in. Listed as #119 in the UNESCO World Heritage Registry of Luang Prabang, this house is a rare example of a wood home built in the Luang Prabang style.
