Enjoy a memorable afternoon and evening escape from Kota Kinabalu to the tranquil Klias Forest Reserve, traveling overland along scenic coastal roads and through charming rural villages that showcase Sabah’s countryside lifestyle.

After hotel pickup from your lobby, relax during the journey before arriving at the Klias River village jetty, where you will be welcomed with light refreshments, including coffee or tea accompanied by traditional Malay cakes and cookies.

Your river cruise adventure then begins along the calm Klias River, guided by experienced local experts who will help spot the area’s rich wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you search for iconic proboscis monkeys, long‑tailed macaques, a variety of bird species, monitor lizards, and—if lucky—crocodiles resting along the riverbanks.

Following the wildlife cruise, return to the jetty to enjoy a traditional Malay buffet dinner, offering a selection of local dishes in a relaxed riverside setting.

As night falls, embark on a short evening river cruise to witness one of nature’s most enchanting spectacles: thousands of fireflies synchronously lighting up the mangrove trees, creating a magical atmosphere along the river.

After the firefly experience, sit back and relax as you are transferred back to Kota Kinabalu, with drop‑off at your hotel.
