Mengwi is home to the former Royal Temple, Pura Taman Ayun, our first stop on today's tour, followed by a visit to the village of Bedugul, a mountain retreat popular among locals, where you can explore the fruit and vegetable market, and then we'll head to Lake Bratan to see Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, a temple dedicated to Dewi Danu, the Water Goddess, before visiting Alas Kedaton, a famous monkey forest, and making a final stop at Tanah Lot, a magnificent temple perched on a rock off the shore, known as the most photographed temple in Bali, with its mythological history and protective sea snakes.
