Begin your night tour at our
Our meeting point near MRT Sam Yot Station at 5:30 pm. After a quick bike fitting and briefing, it's time to hit the streets. We will avoid main roads by pedaling our way through small laneways, past ancient temples and canals to see the heart and soul of Bangkok.

Your first stop is the iconic
Loha Prasat, also known as the Metal Castle - the first and only metal castle in Thailand. Explore its intricate design and learn about its historical significance. Continue biking past some of the city's landmarks, including Democracy Monument, Khao San back roads and the historic Phra Athit Fort. Capture breathtaking views of the Rama VIII Bridge, a favorite spot for photoshoots. Cycling through Thammasat University, we cross the Chao Phraya River by ferry around sunset. Once across, we cycle quiet back roads to Wat Rakang, an old Bangkok temple from the Ayutthaya era. After brief stop, we continue cycling via the riverside bike lane.

The next unforgettable stop
is the world-famous Bangkok Flower Market, the largest wholesale flower market in Thailand. After crossing the Memorial Bridge, we stop at the Flower Market, which is at its busiest this time of night and an exciting show of color and activity. On the walk through, your guide will treat you to some of Thailand’s famous street food.

Continue Cycling past the Grand Palace, we arrive at Sanam Luang, from which you can see the sparkling chedis of the palace. Our next stop is a visit to the iconic Giant Swing, known locally as Sao Ching Cha. This towering structure holds a significant place in Thai culture and history. Afterward, we pedal through the back streets of Bangkok’s historic old city to complete the evening’s tour back at our starting meeting point. The night bike tour usually takes 3-4 hours but may vary by group. Dinner is not included in the night tour, but we do provide some fun and tasty street food snacks in the Bangkok Flower Market.

Please Note: Thailand day tours will not operate April 13th to 15th over the annual Songkran (water festival) holidays. We will resume tours April 16th after our guides have enjoyed a well-deserved break. Sorry for any inconvenience and enjoy the celebrations!

Note: Street numbers are not overly useful in Thailand as people work more off landmarks and intersections. The best landmark close to us is Sam Yod MRT station.

MRT

The shop is just a 4-minute walk from the new MRT station Sam Yod and just one block away from Miramar hotel. We are at the last building on the same block with KC Music Center.

Taxi

It is worth printing the map on this page to show a taxi driver if you choose to come to the Grasshopper Shop by taxi. Bear in mind that you will be traveling during peak hour so if travelling from the downtown area you should allow at least one hour to get here.

River Boat

It is possible to get reasonably close to us on the Chao Phraya Express Boat getting off at Pier Memorial Bridge which is a 15-minute walk or short tuk-tuk ride from Phra Athit Pier. The ferry takes about 1 hour from Central Pier at Sapan Taksin. The boat service closes at 7pm so it cannot be used to get back to your hotel after the tour.
